The minutes of the Parish Council Planning meeting held on 15 July, having been circulated prior to the meeting, were approved and signed.

The Parish Council decision was C.
While we do not object, we want to note that this building has already been extensively enlarged on a previous planning application. There is adequate planning for cars. The property already is on the boundary next to number 10 Midway Avenue. The garden will be significantly reduced.
Ref: 24/01314/FUL – Single-storey front and rear extensions at 18 Riversvale Drive, YO26 6JY.

While in principle we do not object to this proposed rear extension we would like the planners to note that the front extension will fall outside the permitted building line. This is a street of bungalows, and it would be a great pity to alter the street scene and create a precedent on this type of house alteration. We are also concerned as this is a semidetached property that it will create an unbalanced look to the twin properties.

It was noted that the Local Authority had approved no planning applications since the July Parish Council meeting.
24/208 – TO RECEIVE A REPORT FROM THE LISTED BUILDINGS WORKING GROUP
The Listed Buildings Working Group has reported that the presentation at the various venues is being read and greatly appreciated by the public. So far only one email has been received with a further suggestion. The Working Group will collect the documents from the various venues in the coming weeks and contact the Civic Trust again with CYC to progress the Local Listed properties, venues and sites.
