My wife and I followed our daughter to Poppleton in 2017 from Middlesbrough where I was Professor of Mathematics at the University of Teesside.
I have some experience of committees in the voluntary sector having led sports clubs (badminton, tennis), a residents’ association and a wildlife conservation group. Wildlife interests, which may be of use to the Council, come from membership of organisations concerned with birds, botany (particularly wild orchids), dragonflies, solitary bees and bumblebees, fungi and bats.
Poppleton is a gem of a village, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to preserving and enhancing its character
