I have been a proud Poppletonian since 1982, when my parents made the excellent decision to move here, and we haven’t left since. I attended what was Poppleton infant and junior school (now Poppleton Ousebank) and have fond memories of skipping around the Maypole on Sports Day.
Now, having retired from North Yorkshire Police as the Inspector in charge of major collisions and road safety, I am delighted to sit on the Parish Council and support the village and its residents in keeping Poppleton both safe and a wonderful place to live.
