MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL PLANNING MEETING HELD IN THE POPPLETON CENTRE, UPPER POPPLETON, AT 7.30 PM ON MONDAY, 17 APRIL 2023
PRESENT: – Cllrs. E M Jones (Chairman), S P Barry, G R M Bates, J A Hook, C J Lamb and C D Steward. Also in attendance was the Clerk, Mr B J W Mackman.
23/087 – TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTEREST (NOT PREVIOUSLY DECLARED) ON ANY MATTERS OF BUSINESS

23/089 – TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE GIVEN IN ADVANCE OF THE MEETING
Apologies were received from Cllr. R A Harper.
23/090 – TO CONSIDER THE APPROVAL OF REASONS GIVEN FOR ABSENCE
Cllr. Harper’s reason for absence was approved.
23/091 – TO CONFIRM THE MINUTES OF THE PLANNING MEETING HELD ON 20 MARCH 2023
The minutes of the Parish Council Planning meeting held on 20 March 2023, having been circulated prior to the meeting, were approved, and signed.

Ref: 23/00556/TPO – Prune back of 2no. Cedar trees overhanging car park area by 2 to 3 metres – works to trees protected by Tree Preservation Order no. 1/1970 at St Everilda’s Church, Church Lane, YO26 6LE.
The Parish Council decision was B
Ref: 23/00574/FUL – Two-storey rear extension at 9 Riverside Gardens, YO26 6JZ.
The Parish Council decision was B
Ref: 23/00586/TCA – Fell 1no. Cedar tree in a Conservation Area at 34 Church Lane, YO26 6 LB.
The Parish Council decision was D. This tree is in a conservation area and has a TPO on it. It is not reported as damaged or diseased. The Parish Council would support the tree being pruned but not removed.
To note Local Authority Planning Decisions
It was noted that the Local Planning Authority had approved no planning applications since the 20 March 2023 meeting.
23/093– TO RECEIVE A REPORT FROM THE LISTED BUILDINGS WORKING GROUP
Cllr Harper was not at the meeting, so no further report or action was noted.
23/094 – TO NOTE CORRESPONDENCE
The Clerk had previously circulated a series of correspondence relating to planning issues.
23/095 – TO AGREE THE DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING
It was agreed that the next regular meeting would be held at 7.00pm in the Poppleton Centre on Monday 15 May 2023.
